This engaging conversation explores the narratives, symbolism, and material processes behind Taylor Robenalt's intricate porcelain sculptures. The artist draws from storytelling traditions to create works intertwining figures, flora, and fauna that reflect personal experience and humanity's relationship with nature.
Her sculptures use layered symbolism and the delicate qualities of porcelain to heighten emotional resonance, with animals and flowers serving as metaphors for loyalty, freedom, and renewal.
As a Ringling College of Art and Design professor, Robenalt creates visually accessible yet deeply reflective work.
